Reclaiming back my life
The weekend is near, I can already smell it…. Well, its more than welcome, considering the amount of work I’ve had to put in, and all the stress I’ve had to endure…. I wonder if it will be as good as last weekend…. Only thing was, I was too busy this week to make an entry to the blog….. the amount of comments I get about my blog, “how come you don’t update it more often” is one, “I notice you only blog when you travel” is another…. My entries to my blog really depends more on whether I have the time to blog, not so much me being lazy and all….
I am trying to reclaim back my life though, having been so busy with work….. I can never seem to find enough time for myself…. So it was with great pleasure when I heard from one of my futsal mates last week, asking if I was interested to join in for a session during the weekend….. of course I was….. And so I came out of my premature retirement from futsal, even if it was just for a weekend…… After 14 months away from the court, I put on my futsal boots with delight, and had an extremely good time too…. Though the price that I had to pay afterwards, I was fully reminded of my age, and being at the wrong end of 20, although the mind is still willing, the body I must say isn’t quite what I remembered it to be : ) but it was all worth it, after all, it reminded me I was still very much alive!!!
So that was how I spent my Saturday afternoon…. I had dinner with my salsa mates, and a mere 3 and ½ hours later, I was on the dancefloor, salsa-ing for the first time in 4 months….. Despite the aching muscles and limbs, I was able to have a good time…. The workshop was fun as usual, and dancing with the girls, hmm…. I think I need to put in more work into my routines….. I cant say I remember very much after being away for so long, I felt the rustiness showed….. Oh well, am hoping to rejoin classes again after my exams in mid May…. And hopefully, this time, I can be more serious about it, and actually go dancing on a regular basis….
I spent my Sunday morning, getting my usual dose of weekly badminton (yes, I really paid for all this physical activity on Sunday evening and the whole of Monday!! ). And I went to see RA, and her baby daughter, who was simply adorable…. She had such a wonderful temperament, and had no qualms having so many strangers around her….
Yes, the day did end with me rushing out my report, to be sent to my poor manager who was away on leave…. Not a way I would like to have ended such a fine weekend, but like all good things, last weekend had to come to an end….
As for what I have planned this weekend, there will be no futsal, no salsa….. in its place, will be studying ( I do have to start preparing for my exams), but hopefully I’ll be able to fit in more sleep, its something I’ve been lacking for some time now…. But who knows, maybe there’ll be a few surprises as I make my way through the weekend…..
