A Special Day

It was my birthday a couple of days ago... and while I dont really think of it as a big deal, as I'm not particularly thrilled to be one whole year older....Well, a year wiser perhaps, as suggested by some friends.... While I can honestly say I am richer in experience by a year, I'm not so sure it gets translated into me being nicer.... Only time will tell, and whether do I make the same mistakes, or make better decisions in the time to come....

But one thing I did like however, was certainly the pleasant feeling of surprise when I received birthday wishes.... It feels nice that people remember, and that they took the trouble to actually wished me well for the coming year.... In all sorts of forms, being text messages, phonecalls from as far away as Spore, and of course the current favourite among modes of communication, Facebook....

Of course, presents will make any occasion more pleasurable, and my birthday was no different.... Thank you all for all the presents and well-wishes, I'm very happy to be in the thoughts of my friends, and I hope to be a good a friend to you as you all are to me..... And of course, wishing you all good fortune and health for the coming year......
